The taking of Pelham P-90

The new Gibson Midtown P-90 ticks so many of the right boxes for me.

  • P-90 Pickups – CHECK
  • ’60 profile neck – CHECK
  • Classic archtop style in a smaller package – CHECK
  • Classic retro color – Pelham Blue – CHECK

Gibson Midtown Standard P-90 Pelham Blue

I liked the Midtown standard on it’s launch in 2011, but the addition of the P-90′s takes this over the top for me. Mixed with the awesomely retro color finish you see above, and I am drooling like a girl at a One Direction concert.

The guitar features:

  • Chambered Mahogany body with solid Maple top and f-holes
  • Mahogany neck with fast, comfortable ’60s-style profile
  • Rosewood fingerboard with traditional acrylic trapezoid inlays
  • Pair of P-90 Soapbar pickups in the neck and bridge
  • Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece
  • Premium Grover™ Keystone tuners with 14:1 tuning ratio
