Reverend Pete Anderson Signature Series

Reverend Pete Anderson Signature SeriesPete Anderson, guitarist for Dwight Yokeam, is luckey enough to have his own signature model with Reverend. He'll be demonstrating the new guitar at Namm 2009 in the Reverend Booth.

The guitar features a vintage look but is designed to please modern players with a mix of grunt and twang provided by the some P-90s. It also features the Uni-Brace system, which divides the guitar into two seperate chambers and supposed to provide less feedback, increased sustain, cleaner lows, and a classic hollow sound.

It's decked out with a spruce top, laminated maple back and sides, a set korina neck with a 24-3/4" scale, 12" radius, 22 frets rosewood fingerboard, topped off with a Bigsby B70 tremolo, some whipped cream and a cherry. Ok, so it may not have the last two but it does sound delicious.

List price is $1429, $169 for the case to match.

Reverend Double Agent Guitar

I really love the look of these Reverend guitars. I just wish I could find some down under to get my hands on. Or maybe Reverend would like to send me one of each model so I can review them... that would be nice.

Anyway, the new Double Agent from Reverend features olid korina body, maple neck, medium oval neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, 25.5″ scale length, Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, Reverend humbucker (bridge) and Reverend P-90 (neck) pickups, 3-way pickup switch and volume, tone and bass contour control mounted where a Les Paul would normally have the pickup switch.

i really like the idea of the humbucker and P90 combination. This sounds stupid but I always thought visually that mixing the pickup types really degades the aesthetic of a guitar. But reverned have got the P90 surrounded by a matching pickguard, so you almost don't notice it there.

It comes as shown, or in midnight black for $600.

C'mon Reverend. Australia wants to play.

On many a previous occasion I have mentioned my love for all things Reverend. Once again they have not let me down with these new entries into the Reverend Roundhouse Series.

Reverend RT Midnight Black
Reverent Roundhouse RT Silver

Wow, don't know which on I like better, the shiney black or the sparkley silver. Both of these beauties come with a solid korina body with black back and sides with cream binding, two Reverend Revtron mini-humbuckers that have been calibrated individually for each position.

The Reverend Roundhouse RT series is now available and they come in at a super affordable is $850US.

Reverend Volcano
Here is a guitar I have been meaning to talk about for a little while. The new Reverend Volcano.

Ahh.... isn't it pretty.

But besides the cosmetics, this is one seriously packed guitar. Two Reverend custom humbuckers, set neck, medium profile korina neck with rosewood fingerboard, and a solid korina body, it sure looks like a guitar to check out. If you want the classic 60's look make sure to check out the creamy white finish. Me? I like the black.

Reverend Roundhouse HB-FM

Reverend Roundhouse HB-FM
With the amount of Les Paul inspired guitars out there, it still confuses me how Gibson thought the suit against Paul Reed Smith would float when there are Les Paul style guitars that are more Les Paul that the PRS Single Cuts. This is one of them. It's the new Reverend Roundhouse HB-FM.

I'm not saying that as a bad thing. I'm just saying the profile is much more akin than the PRS is. But regardless, Reverend make great guitars no matter what the inspiration. The latest is no exception.

* Solid maple-flame veneer top on solid korina
* Two Reverend humbucker pickups
* 3-Way pickup switch
* Wilkinson staggered EZ-Lock tuners
* Volume, Tone, and Bass Contour (bass roll off) controls
* 24.75" scale, set-neck one-piece mahogany with graphite nut and tilt-back headstock
* Dual-action truss rod
* Rosewood fingerboard with 12" radius and 22 frets.

I still don't think I can get used to the pick up selector all the way down there, but I won't know until I play one. Reverend, wanna send me a test model? :-)
