The nice people over at Lick Library recently sent me the three new Pick Floyd / Dave Gilmour DVD’s to review. It has taken me so long to actually review them because every time I sit down to do the review, I end up spending the entirew time playing through the entire lessons and not [...]

2008 Top 10 Albums

January 1st 2009

It’s that time of year when we look back at what has passed and pick out our favourite moments. Looking back at things with a musical slant, 2008 has proven to be rather disappointing compared to other years. Most years I add over 100 hours worth of music to my library. This year I managed [...]

Birds Of Tokyo – “Day One”

October 1st 2007

This Perth, Australia band has released what is possible the best album of the last few years. Amazing vocal, great songwriting, very good production. If you like good solid rock with a bit more cerebral content than usual, but not enough to send it into the prog zone, then this is for you.

Linkin Park – Minutes To Midnight

May 29th 2007

Album of the Year? It’s up there. This is absolutely brilliant from first song to last. Not the Linkin Park of old but still sounds familiar. Hot Tracks: Bleed It Out, Shadow Of The Day, Valentine’s Day, Hands Held High, oh just the whole damn album!!!
