2010 Search For The Best Guitarist You Have Never Heard Of

This year I want to do something different.
It's now 2010, and any serious musician has a home studio. Any serious musician has access to the internet. But with such a flood of music to wade through, how do you find the really good stuff? And how do you find find something remotely interesting to you tastes.
This year, I want it to find me!
This is the official launch of the GuitarToyBox Search For The Best Guitarist You Have Never Heard Of competition.
If you are a guitarist, solo or in a band, and want to get your music heard, then I'm looking for you. No matter what style you play, I want you to send me you best music.
There are a few guidelines though:
1. Sound Quality - It has to sound at least semi professional. No boom box recordings or bad midi drums OK?
2. Guitar must be prominent - I don't care if your strum along acoustic power ballad is your best song. I want guitars. I don't care if it is metal, folk, blues, flamenco, jazz, ambient, whatever, the guitar needs to be interesting.
3. Original Music - I am after original music ONLY. I don't care how good your cover of Johnny B Goode is, I want original music that I have no expectations of.
4. Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative License preferred. See below for reasons.
Each week I plan on sharing my favourites with links, and will pick one featured artist that will get prominent publicity on this site. These featured artists, CC license pending, will be compiled onto a downloadable* compilation album.
I have no prizes lined up yet, except for the publicity, however I have recently been approached by several PR companies representing some big names and am hoping they may come to the fold.
I also don't care if you are signed to a label or not. As long as you are relatively unknown as a guitarist, then that's OK. You hear that Dave Navarro, Joe Bonamassa, Mark Tremonti, Gary Moore et al. You guys can't enter. But if you want to send me some stuff feel free!
If you are interested, please jump over to this page and fill out the form.
*This CC license was chosen as it allows me to redistribute your music, unchanged, with full accreditation, but will allow me to ask for a "download donation" to cover the costs of the hosting. If this takes off the way I would like, that could be quite considerable. I will be trying to get some sponsorship for this so I won't need to ask for donations.
