Do we need another Creed album?

Mark Tremonti what are you thinking? I love you bro', but putting Alter Bridge on hold for a Creed re-union? Alter Bridge is what Creed should have been if it wasn't for nut job Scott Stapp.
If you don't remember, Creed were gigantanormous in the late 90's. They sold 35 million albums worldwide and had hits such as 'Arms Wide Open" and "Higher".
Don't get me wrong, I was a defender of the faith. I did my time in the trenches against all the Creed haters. And although they scoffed with the inevitable breakup, I was vindicated by Alter Bridge, showing that the band at it's musical core was an unstoppable force. But now Stapp is back, and they are going to try again.
I really do hope it works out. Honestly, I do. It just better be as good as Alter Bridge.
Don't let me down Mark.

I don’t even listen to Creed or Alter Bridge (nothing against them, just so many bands so little time), yet when I heard about the Creed reunion I still felt a little let down on Alter Bridge’s behalf.
It looks like Alter Bridge is just on hold. That makes me happy. I’ll make you a bet. You listen to the second Alter Bridge album, and you’ll struggle to stop listening to it.

Actually, I’d have to disagree with that. I have those Creed albums and I thought they were pretty balanced IMHO. Radio on the other hand picked up all the ballads though.
I’ve always enjoyed Creed back in the day — lots of good memories! — however, they were always too over played on the radio… so it was easy to get burnt out listening to their tunes over-and-over again. I’m actually interested in hearing their new stuff, though I hope it’s not more of the same. I’d like to see them create something a little more different with more edge.
The new Creed album will be like a breath of fresh air for me.I love Creed, though Scott had his ways, everything came so fast for the band once they went worldwide.Sometimes even the best of us get overwhelmed with the sudden rush of notariety that they achieved.I don’t like the so-called Rock music i hear on the radio today, it’s all crap, except for a few bands.A year from now Alter will be touring together.I think Creed will close their book the way they want it to be.
I love love love Creed and I am so excited about them getting back together! I’ve waited like 6 years for this!! I can’t wait to finally see them in concert again!
