Gibson Longhorn Double Cut BV
Gibson have done it to me again. I hate them, but I love their guitars. This is a beauty. The latest GOTM release, the Longhorn Double Cut DV is a thing of beauty.

Besides being a stunner to look at, technically it is very well optioned. Dual EMG humbuckers, piezo under the tune-o-matic bridge for acoustic tones, and seperate outputs for each, this is an all in one solution for live performance.
If you don't like the colour (shame on you) then the guitar is also available and the Gibson Longhorn Doube Cut HS which features a classic cherry sunburst.

Good Lord that’s pathetic. You’d think that with all the experience (not to mention money) thta Gibson’s got, that they could do better than that.
It looks like some Chinese knockoff gone wrong. That headstock has got to go too… it looks like a paddle on that guitar. Other than that, it’s fine.
I’ll stick with my Les Paul, faults and all.

I like the selector switch being moved to the lower section. I tend to bump mine on my LP Studio and inadvertantly switch to a different pickup.

I don’t know. I like it in the blue, but I think it looks ordinary with the classic sunburst.

wish it had silver hardware instead of gold.

It looks like a PRS clone to me.
Kinda reminds me of when David Coverdale started impersonating Robert Plant,………except this is more like Plant impersonating Coverdale.

Maybe PRS should sue Gibson… that would be a turn up for the books.

I am a traditional LP guy myself. But my son, who has and loves his LP but is not biased like my picked up that guitar and played is he said it felt nicer than anything he has ever played. And with the EMG’s it really sounded quite nice too.
Lucky him. I’d love to get my hands on one and give it a go.
Does any body know how to adjust the controls on a Gibson Longhorn? Gibson says when you plug into the “A” plug the front volume should be inactive. My guitar teacher says to yurn off the front volume control (its still active) and turn the tone off. This doesn’t sound right to me
